Terms of use
Plain English, as short as we could make it.
This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Big Helpers Software and Solutions Private Limited ("Big Helpers", "we", "us"), the publisher of the Obsession apps for iPhone and Android and of this website. By using Obsession you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Our privacy policy explains what happens to your data, and the AI features page explains the optional AI features. Both are part of how Obsession works, so please read them too.
The app
Obsession is free. There's no account, no ads and no in-app purchases in this version. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control.
We may update the app, change what it does, or stop offering it or any part of it, including the optional AI features.
Your content
Your photos, stickers, notes, prices and everything else you put in the app are yours. They stay on your device, and we don't receive them or claim any rights in them.
When you use an optional AI feature, you let us and the services that process the request use the few names you send only to answer that request, as described on the AI features page.
Because your collection lives on your phone, keeping it safe is up to you. Turn on your phone's backup if you want it to survive a lost or new phone. If the app is deleted or your phone is lost without a backup, we can't get your collection back.
Only add photos you're allowed to use, and only share what you have the right to share.
Acceptable use
Use Obsession lawfully and fairly. Please don't:
- use it to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights, including copyright, trademarks and privacy;
- send the AI features anything illegal, hateful or harmful, or other people's personal information;
- try to get around the daily limits, overload our server, or reach it other than through the app;
- copy, change, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- present AI results as checked facts, as your own reviews, or as someone else's words.
The AI features
- They're optional. Bragging rights and Your nickname send nothing until you agree, and you can stop using them at any time.
- They can be wrong. Write-ups and nicknames are made by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or about a different product from yours. Check anything that matters to you.
- Write-ups come from public web sources. Each Bragging rights write-up is built from public web pages and shows links to its sources. What those pages say belongs to their owners.
- Google Search Suggestions. Each write-up comes with Google's search suggestions, which the app must show. Tapping one opens Google Search in your browser, under Google's terms.
- Videos belong to their owners. The videos are YouTube videos. They play from YouTube under YouTube's Terms of Service, and their owners hold the rights.
- Not advice. Nothing from the AI features is medical, financial, legal or safety advice, a valuation of what you own, or proof that something is genuine.
- Limits. Each feature has daily limits, and we may change, limit or stop the AI features at any time.
The requests are processed by our server and by Google (Gemini with Google Search), DeepSeek and YouTube, as the privacy policy describes.
Third-party services
Obsession works alongside services we don't control. Each has its own terms, and we're not responsible for them or for changes to them:
- App stores. Apple's App Store and Google Play deliver the app and its updates under their own terms. If you got Obsession from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, alongside these terms.
- Apps you share to. When you share a card, collage or reel, the app you choose handles it under its own terms and policies.
- AI and video services. Google (Gemini with Google Search), DeepSeek and YouTube, as described above.
- Your phone's own services. Apple's Vision framework, Google Play services (including ML Kit and downloadable fonts), and your iCloud or Google backup.
What belongs to us
The app, its design, artwork and sounds, and the Obsession name and logo belong to Big Helpers. Other names and marks belong to their owners; see Acknowledgements.
No warranty
We work hard to make Obsession reliable, but to the extent the law allows, it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will be accurate, fit for a particular purpose, or always available. We don't promise that the AI features will always work or always be right.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Big Helpers is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost data, or for loss caused by third-party services or by relying on AI results.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.
Stopping
You can stop using Obsession at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering the app, or stop your access to the AI features if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Obsession after a change, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute about them or about Obsession will be heard by the competent courts in India.
